Common Questions

What Families and Insurers
Ask Us Most.

Planning a medical flight is stressful. Here are clear, honest answers to the questions we hear most often.

Each answer below reflects how we actually run missions. If your situation is not covered, the fastest way to a useful answer is a phone call.

Booking and Timing

For missions within Asia-Pacific, we can typically have an aircraft and crew airborne within 2 to 6 hours of your call and the medical assessment. Our operations centre runs 24/7.

The exact timeline depends on the patient's location, condition and the permits required. Non-urgent transfers are scheduled around the patient and the receiving hospital.

Call or WhatsApp +65 9152 0777, 24/7, or send the patient's details through our quote form. Our medical team reviews the case and sends a quotation.

Quotations are in Singapore dollars unless agreed otherwise and are valid for 24 to 48 hours. A deposit is due before the mission, with the balance on completion.

We need passport details for the patient and every companion, the treating hospital's medical report, and insurance policy details if the patient is covered. All passengers need valid passports and any visas required.

We handle flight permits, fitness-to-fly certificates, and customs and immigration paperwork. Missing something? Call us with what you have.

Yes. Our Learjet 60SE seats up to 2 companions alongside the patient and medical crew, and the Hawker 800XP seats up to 3. Companion seating is included in the mission cost.

Companions sit in the cabin with the patient and medical team, with meals and refreshments provided. Every companion must be medically fit to fly.

Yes. We arrange ground ambulances at both ends, from the treating hospital to the aircraft and from the airport to the receiving hospital.

Before the patient arrives, we coordinate admission, bed availability and specialist consultations with the receiving hospital. Our medical crew hands the patient over at the bedside. Read more about medical repatriation.

Cost and Insurance

Cost depends on distance, aircraft, medical crew and equipment. Our quote is all-inclusive: flight, medical team, equipment, ground ambulances, permits and handling fees.

Regional missions within Southeast Asia range from USD 30,000 to USD 80,000. Longer missions to Australia, Japan or the Middle East range from USD 80,000 to USD 200,000 or more.

Many travel, health and corporate policies include medical evacuation or repatriation cover, but terms and limits vary by policy. Our team can contact your insurer from the first call to confirm cover and obtain approval.

If the insurer does not pay the full cost, the client remains responsible for the balance.

Yes. We work directly with travel insurers, corporate health plans, assistance companies and government schemes across Asia-Pacific. If the patient is covered, we coordinate authorisation and billing with the insurer and provide the medical documentation for the claim.

Send us the policy number and provider name and we will confirm cover and start the case.

Medical Care

We transport patients with cardiac conditions, neurological emergencies, post-surgical complications, respiratory failure requiring ventilation, trauma, paediatric and neonatal cases, and complex multi-system conditions.

Our medical director assesses every case before we confirm a mission, to match the crew, equipment and aircraft to the patient. The initial consultation is free and carries no obligation.

Every air ambulance mission carries a flight physician and an ICU-trained nurse. Each jet is equipped as a flying ICU with a Zoll X Series monitor and defibrillator, transport ventilator, infusion pumps, Mindray patient monitor, suction, medical oxygen and a Spectrum Aeromed stretcher.

See the full equipment list.

Yes. Our transport ventilator supports invasive (intubated) and non-invasive ventilation, with volume-controlled and pressure-controlled modes. The flight physician and ICU nurse manage ventilation throughout the flight, adjusting settings for altitude and the patient's condition.

An air ambulance is a dedicated jet configured as a flying ICU, with a stretcher, ventilator, monitoring and a flight physician on board. A commercial medical escort is a doctor or nurse who travels with the patient on a scheduled airline.

An escort suits only stable patients who need no ventilator or continuous intravenous treatment.

Fleet and Coverage

The aircraft is chosen by distance, the patient's condition and the number of companions. Short and mid-range regional missions typically use a Learjet 60 family jet; longer flights and dual-stretcher cases use the Hawker 800XP.

All four jets carry the same ICU equipment baseline. See our fleet.

Owning the aircraft means there is no search for a third-party jet after you call. Many air ambulance companies are brokers who source aircraft from other operators, adding time, cost and uncertainty.

We own and operate our fleet, so we control maintenance, onboard medical equipment, crew training and readiness. See our fleet.

We fly from Seletar Airport, Singapore, across Asia-Pacific. Sample flight times to Singapore: Bali 2h 25m, Bangkok 2h 30m, Manila 3h 30m, Perth 5h 20m.

We also fly point-to-point missions and, with permits and fuel stops where needed, to the Middle East, the South Pacific and parts of Europe. See our coverage.

Yes. We are accredited by EURAMI, the European Aero-Medical Institute, after independent audits of our medical protocols, aircraft safety, crew qualifications, training and patient care. We are also licensed by civil aviation authorities.
